Customer Advocate

The customer advocate's responsibility is to retain existing customers, improve their loyalty, and cross-sell Advanticom products.

In this position, you will be assigned a territory containing about 400 customers to whom Advanticom has sold phone systems and data network services. You will be expected to meet a quota of calls, appointments, proposals, and revenue. You will cross-sell and up-sell the following categories of products and services:
  • Phone system upgrades (especially VoIP)
  • Data network hardware (routers, switches, servers, etc.)
  • Data network enhancements, security, and services
  • Service and maintenance agreements
  • Phone system applications (ACD, call accounting, etc.)
Candidates should have 3-5 years of outside sales experience. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and experience selling data network solutions, phone systems, telco products, and Cisco network hardware. Compensation will include a base salary plus commission.

Founded in 1978, Advanticom provides voice and data solutions to over 1300 small and medium-sized businesses in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Marketing / Business Intern

Advanticom provides communications systems and data network services to over 1300 small and medium-sized businesses in southwestern PA.

We are looking for a summer intern to support us in our marketing and business development efforts.

The intern will be responsible for supporting Advanticom staff in the following tasks:
  • Market analysis
  • Customer communications
  • Revenue forecasting and modeling
  • Customer list development
  • Lead list development
  • Purchasing
  • Quoting
  • Proposal writing
  • Sales
Work business hours Monday - Friday. Majors in marketing, business, or finance preferred.

Sales Representative

Advanticom is currently seeking an experienced Sales Representative to further advance themselves in the IT field. Unlimited earning potential. Compensation will be based upon experience and responsibilities. Knowledge of Cisco telephony a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and develop their assigned sales territories actively and conscientiously in order to sell exclusively the products, systems, services and programs offered by Advanticom.
  • Prepare and submit all reports and documents as requested by the Company. You are also responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the scope of work of an ordering document.
  • Conduct business in a manner that is consistent with Advanticom policy.
  • Achieve assigned quota.
Candidate Attributes:
  • IT sales experience preferred but, not required.
  • Knowledge of Cisco telephony a plus.
  • Experience in the corporate sales environment.
  • Ability to meet and achieve sales objectives.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure including telephony and network environments and VolP technology is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities.
  • Poise, superior professionalism and discretion.
Desired Background:
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of professional experience.
  • Experience working with senior level executives.
